This notice explains how Maplyx Limited (company no. 17028287, registered office: 18 Montague Crescent, Northampton, NN5 7RQ, "we", "us") collects and uses your personal data when you sign up for launch updates at askai.co.uk ("AskAI").

We use your email address solely to notify you when AskAI launches, and for occasional updates about AskAI before then. We rely on your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)) as the lawful basis — given by ticking the consent box when you sign up. You can withdraw this consent at any time (see "Your rights" below); withdrawing it is exactly as easy as giving it.
We keep your email address until AskAI launches and for up to 12 months afterwards, or until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it — whichever happens first. After that, we delete it (including from backups, as soon as practicable).
We do not sell or share your email address with third parties for their own marketing. If we use a third-party email delivery platform to send you the launch announcement, that platform processes your data only on our instructions, under a data processing agreement, and only to the extent necessary to deliver the email.
Our infrastructure is hosted on servers we control directly; we do not currently transfer your data outside the UK. If this changes (for example, if we adopt a US-based email delivery platform), we will update this notice to disclose the transfer and the safeguard used (such as the UK-US Data Bridge or Standard Contractual Clauses).

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, appropriate to its low sensitivity (an email address and an optional category label). Our systems are protected by encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and are not directly exposed to the public internet beyond what's needed to operate this website.
We may update this notice as AskAI develops. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated "last updated" date.
